The second WKA Florida Divisional Dirt Series Race at Volusia Speedway Park
was a great day of racing. Jesse ran in both the Junior Sportsman II Lite and
Heavy classes. He had the fastest qualifying time in the Lite class and won a
FAST-TIME t-shirt. There were 14 karts racing in this class. He started pole
position but there was a big crash. We were not involved and the driver that got
hit was okay. After a red flag, we started back out in front again. Jesse got a little
high and spun out, putting him to the back. However, he was picking them up
and putting them down. He made his way back to 4th place to finish.
In the Heavy class,Jesse qualified 5th. There were 12 karts in this class. He
quickly made his way to 3rd place and then to 2nd place. It was smooth racing,
holding on to finish 2nd place.
